Klein Rietje (Dani) is a music producer on a mission to blend global sounds. Originally from the indigenous Mandean community in Iraq, he grew up in the vibrant music scene of Amersfoort, Netherlands. From a young age, he was always inspired by the multicultural sounds. At 15, he relocated to Sydney, Australia, where he faced the challenges of adapting to a new country and language. Music became his refuge during this time where he began experimenting with FL Studio and Virtual DJ. Since then, he’s dropped tracks, remixes and edits that reflect his fast-paced style. His songs “Here to Stay (Wenge Wenge)” and “Beautiful 2” made waves, with Beautiful 2 hitting #30 on the Hypeddit Top 100 Download Charts and getting support from Testpress, Angelo the Kid, Kharfi, and Exen Records. His latest track “Whistle Baby” has reached more than 27K+ streams and has been supported by artists like Trancemaster Krause, Mika Heggemann and was played live on Radio Rudina. Beyond producing, Klein has become a driving force in Sydney’s event scene as the co-founder of Off The Map, a high-energy, genre-blending party built on creativity, inclusivity, and no industry politics. After years of DJing across Sydney since 2018, he realised how hard it can be for talented artists to get gigs without dealing with the usual popularity games. So, he and Clipflicker started Off The Map to create something different, a space where good music and good energy come first. Since launching in May 2025, Off The Map has already hosted four massive events, including the Teletech Sydney Afterparty and the rooftop in Nerve (Melbourne). Dani has been long active as a DJ well before the Klein Rietje project and has performed all around Sydney and the Central Coast. Some of these performances include; closing Oktoberfest in the Domain, Lost Sundays at the Ivy, Home the Venue, The Greenwood Hotel, Candy’s apartment, Club BPM and many more. Taking inspiration from artists like Kettama, Skin on Skin, Partiboi69, DJ Heartstring and 6 Sense, Klein Rietje's sound is a unique blend of these inspirations. Klein Rietje remains dedicated to authenticity, creativity, and celebrating cultural diversity through music. He is committed to carving out his own space in the music industry.
