Listen on Featured mixVogel (AU) is the musical project of UK-born, Australian-based artist and DJ Michael Bird. Having started his career 13 years ago, Vogel (AU) has become known for his signature euphoric and genre-blending sound that fuses elements of house, techno, and experimental electronica. His distinctive style has earned him recognition in the local scene, and he’s shared the bill with major artists such as DJ Boring, Gerd Janson, Hammer, Mincy, James Pepper, Dameeeela, DJ ADHD, Narciss, Matisa & Fish56Octagon to name just a few. He’s also the founder of @fldjacademy @frontleftproject helping to provide a pathway for aspiring DJs in the local SE QLD scene as well as @nightservice__ a marathon DJ set series raising funds for charity. Vogel plays for a total of 24 hours alongside the electronic dance community and has raised over $5000 in the past three years. His dedication to the scene has made him a key figure in Meanjin/Brisbane’s underground music community. Vogel’s 3 recent EP releases, including ‘And I’m’ signed on Credits Records, have made him a fast riser in the Meanjin/Brisbane scene.
