January 16th at Haven brings us a stacked lineup from overseas and some of the best to do it out of Australia featuring Jex Opolis and Aldonna who are taking the world by storm with absolute dance floor crushing tunes uplifted in euphoria. This will be one for the books and not to be missed. Haven positions itself as a one-of-a-kind temporary venue where people can celebrate music and connect with their community before the building is inevitably redeveloped. The entire space is built entirely with salvaged materials; a nod to the space's transient nature. The impermanence of the space becomes part of its power, building urgency and turning each night of unique programming into a rarity. The venues story is also shaped by the history of the building. An old Woolworths site now being transformed into a venue for culture. The installation led by Oliver Buckworth, Katsu Yokoyama and Zelimir Harasty takes guests to a street scene in a densely populated city, where culture, sound and life overlap. There’s traces of Kowloon city, 80’s anime, Wong Kar Wai films and Tokyo listening bar culture. Tickets are limited and expected to move very quickly. Info on the artists below. Classically-trained from a young age in piano and guitar, Jex’s work organically fuses traditional melodic song craft with meticulous electronic production. Along with self-releasing work on his own Good Timin’ label, Jex has released a slate of well-received 12-inch singles on European imprints such as Dekmantel and Running Back. With a catalog that spans club, home listening and pop music, Jex’s melodically-driven and emotive works place him in a category all his own. Aldonna is a Melbourne-born, Brussels based DJ, producer, and label curator celebrated for her discerning ear and instinctive touch as a selector and producer. Her sound captures the euphoric pulse of the ’90s and early 2000s, finding harmony between House & Progressive, with a refined vinyl sensibility. Following a landmark year in 2024 that saw the launch of her vinyl imprint Re-Leaf Records with her third EP which 'Female Fatale', an instant sell out, and acclaimed international tours across 3 continents, 2025 saw Aldonna’s rise continue with fresh releases on label’s such as Semi Delicious, and recent performances at institutions such as Fabric London & Panorama Bar. As she continues to expand her global footprint, Aldonna’s vision grows ever clearer — a boundary-pushing artist shaping the next chapter of modern club culture. Anatole Serret has long-since established himself as a drummer in the beloved indie-funk band Parcels, but a series of head-turning EPs of driving, progressive-informed house kicked off a new chapter. His most recent transmission, “Fata Morgana," released on his own Hydrangea Records, showcases his fluid percussive sensibility and a straight-to-the-point soulfulness.
