Haven Presents: Alex Kassian, Known Artist, Ohms, Shane.MOV, & Aidan Knox

January 30th at Haven, we will be bringing some of the best producers in house and euphoria in the game to the dance floor at Haven. We present Alex Kassian and the iconic producers from France, Known Artist. With tunes showcased at the grounds of leading European festivals and beyond, this night will be bringing some high NRG to Byron Bay. Haven positions itself as a one-of-a-kind temporary venue where people can celebrate music and connect with their community before the building is inevitably redeveloped. The entire space is built entirely with salvaged materials; a nod to the space's transient nature. The impermanence of the space becomes part of its power, building urgency and turning each night of unique programming into a rarity. The venues story is also shaped by the history of the building. An old Woolworths site now being transformed into a venue for culture. The installation led by Oliver Buckworth, Katsu Yokoyama and Zelimir Harasty takes guests to a street scene in a densely populated city, where culture, sound and life overlap. There’s traces of Kowloon city, 80’s anime, Wong Kar Wai films and Tokyo listening bar culture. Tickets are limited and expected to move very quickly. Info on the artists below. We also extend that respect to all First Nations people in attendanc ALEX KASSIAN (DE) Alex Kassian is a Kyoto-born, Berlin-based producer, DJ, and artist known for his expansive, melodic, and cinematic electronic music, blending club sounds with ambient textures for transcendental dancefloor experiences, releasing on labels like Love On The Rocks and Utopia Records, and as one half of Opal Sunn with Hiroaki OBA. His work, including breakout tracks like "Leave Your Life," draws from his background composing for dance and theater, creating warm, emotive music that bridges innovation with musical history, often featuring evocative synth work and reimagined classics. Based in France they have launched their own Club Mix imprint and quickly established themselves with an excellent banger only catalog. The duo now moves forward touring Asia this winter, working on releases for other record labels, obviously following up their own releases on Club Mix but also a Club Remix series on vinyl. Originally a jazz/funk drummer and instrumentalist from Maryland and Colorado, USA, he has been promoting, playing at clubs, festivals, parties, and playing in live bands for just over a decade. Currently based in Byron Bay, Australia, he has been able to dive into the bubbling underground electronic scene, and has created a multi-faced film production/arts/music label, SONIK-INO, giving artists a voice and remaining close to the idea of inclusion. SONIK-INO collaborates closely with a number of brands and labels in Australia, as well as far and wide to create content, art, and events that are approachable for all walks of life, including as much rising talent as possible. They are also the founders of an international event, Club Motif, allowing for extended sets to let artists express their full sound capabilities. Shane.MOV has been able to release with Donald Pump (PAF Records) and DJ WITCH, titled "Lullaby For Georges" and "Count Forwards To White". The tracks have been grouped into the compilation LP, "Lost In Transience (SOKI001)", SONIK-INO's first release, consisting of eight tracks produced by artists in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. He has recently released his first EP titled ‘Habits (Like Glue)’ featuring remixes by Nachtbraker, Minor Circuit, and Pootchy, which has also been released on SONIK-INO as SOKI003. Shane has also recently released mixes on Bangkok Community Radio, Deeprhythms curated by Echocentric Records, as well as, Hanoi Community Radio. His style is ultimately guided by the idea of space, authenticity, and depth, playfully blending an array of selections in his sets. No stranger to tension and release, Shane.MOV remains in a position to fully explore sounds both old and new, across the realms of house and techno with astral, euphoric, world, and soul influences, rooted in the Chicago, Detroit and UK underground. While the coast is often synonymous with minimal and stripped-back Italo disco and house, Aidan brings a refreshing dynamism to his sound. Drawing from elements of 2000s-inspired trance and Balearic-infused techno, seamlessly blended with piano-driven house, this mix exudes a flair that’s rarely heard from a local selector. Aidan’s fresh approach is sure to keep your ears hooked. With new music on the horizon, we’re confident his productions will continue to reflect his prowess as a tastemaker.
