Haven Presents: Denham Audio, Harrison BDP, X&Ivy & Rebekah Abdeen
We return to Haven welcoming Denham Audio, Harrison BDP, as well as x&ivy for a stacked lineup to bring us into a night of grooving breakbeat and underground house rhythms. NRG will be kicking out of the Danleys loud and clear. Haven positions itself as a one-of-a-kind temporary venue where people can celebrate music and connect with their community before the building is inevitably redeveloped. The entire space is built entirely with salvaged materials; a nod to the space's transient nature. The impermanence of the space becomes part of its power, building urgency and turning each night of unique programming into a rarity. The venues story is also shaped by the history of the building. An old Woolworths site now being transformed into a venue for culture. The installation led by Oliver Buckworth, Katsu Yokoyama and Zelimir Harasty takes guests to a street scene in a densely populated city, where culture, sound and life overlap. There’s traces of Kowloon city, 80’s anime, Wong Kar Wai films and Tokyo listening bar culture. Tickets are limited and expected to move very quickly. Info on the artists below. We acknowledge the Arakwal people of the Bundjalung Nation, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which this event takes place. We recognise their enduring connection to Country, culture, and community, and we pay our deepest respects to Elders past and present. We also extend that respect to all First Nations people in attendance DENHAM AUDIO (UK) Part of the Club Glow collective In a blizzard of breakbeats, b-lines and acid hooks, Denham Audio have brought new urgency and vitality to the modern rave scene. The sound they’re pushing is rooted in the legacy of UK hardcore, but those foundational sounds and styles are given a thorough spruce up, feeding into the buoyant areas of exploration happening between 140 and 160 BPM. Releases have been coming thick and fast, from early outings on Nineteen Ninety Four and Artifice through to a blistering run on WNCL, Frendzone! (alongside Violet), Lobster Theremin, Sneaker Social Club and more. Across these 12”s you can hear every shred of influence spilling out – from the upfront hardcore and jungle through to hip hop and reggae, and beyond the confines of music into sci-fi and anime. As well as a relentless charge of rave-ready EPs and DJ sets spanning the UK and as far as Seoul, Tokyo, Berlin, New York and elsewhere, the Denham Audio pressure also piles into the Club Glow collective. Alongside Borai, LMajor and Mani Festo, Denham are presenting a communal front which first manifested as a tape series and now spans 12” drops, a monthly session on Balamii Radio and coordinated blitzes on appropriately sized dancehalls. It’s a natural extension of Denham’s production endeavours, succinctly captured on the SNKRX05 12” as “16v hatchback breakbeat NRG kickin’ it out of your Kenwood system.” We couldn’t have put it better ourselves. Fusing the raw pulse of early Chicago house and Detroit techno with the breakbeat energy, acid textures, and proggy flair of the ’90s UK rave era, their music delivers both emotional depth and peak-time intensity. Since coming together in 2016, they’ve built a sound rooted in groove, nostalgia, and forward-thinking club culture, bridging the intimacy of basement sessions with the scale of festival stages. With roots in Melbourne and California, X & Ivy’s sonic identity is born from contrast. X was raised on Aussie pub rock, disco, and electronica, while Ivy came up on a steady diet of soul, hardcore, and house. They met at USC and quickly clicked—bonding over late-night sessions, shared ambition, and a deep passion for the dancefloor. After their first out-of-state DJ gig in 2018, they committed to the project full-time, sharpening their sound across continents and time zones.
